Describe in detail what your Organisation does: 

We are a section 21 non profit company based in Eerste River. We work within the community providing life skills sessions. We specialize in substance prevention and early intervention services. We are involved in providing awareness and information sessions on different psycho-social issues and different community events, within schools and churches. We also provide Individual counseling sessions, group sessions and support groups.

How long has your Organisation been operational? 

Since June 2017.

In your opinion, what has been the most challenging aspect of running your Organisation? 

No Funding presently means no staff.

Describe your Nonprofit Journey in three words: 

Fulfilling, Rewarding, Blessed.

Do you collaborate with other Causes? If yes, would you like to mention them? 

Yes, collaboration with different stakeholders e.g. SAPS, Department of Social Development, Department of Education, Department of Health and other community based organizations.

If you had one Organisation wish, what would it be? 

That we would be funded in order to be more effective and serve our communities better.

In your opinion, which skills do Nonprofits in your Country lack? 

Empathy, people’s skills, compassion.

Looking back at your Cause Journey, what advice would you give a newbie Organisation? 

Stay focused and determined despite obstacles.

If you could change one thing about the Nonprofit Landscape, what would it be? 

All non profits be recognized and funded because we do the groundwork for the bigger institutions.

Which Cause achievement are you most proud of? Feel free to elaborate on why and include any links: 

We have been operating without funding, it was difficult but worth it especially working with the homeless population.

Humble, determined, people centered
