Dance Theatre Africa was established in December 2011 by Tercia Alexander Amsterdam, who had a vision of a thriving and innovative Dance company in South Africa. Our aim is to help struggling professional dancers and choreographers in South Africa by assisting them with employment and to create performance platforms. Running outreach/ after school dance programs in underprivileged and sub-economical communities in Cape Town is also high on our priority list as we equip, nurture and develop the youth through dance education.

Which Cause achievement are you most proud of? Feel free to elaborate on why and include any links:
our most proud achievement are our continuous outreach programmes which is currently running at 4 schools in the poorer communities. We make dance accessible to these youths and create opportunities they would not have had without programmes like these. These programmes have been running for 5 years now.
