Describe in detail what your Organisation does:

Fafiza Foundation is a charity organization (NPO) that was started by inspired young individuals with the sole purpose of giving back to their communities to better the lives of those in need. Be it children’s homes,orphanages,old age homes, etc…If we have the resources to help, we are there because “motho ke motho ka batho”.

How long has your Organisation been operational?

The organisation was established in March 2016.

In your opinion, what has been the most challenging aspect of running your Organisation?

The most challenging aspect of running Fafiza Foundation has been mostly lack of funds. We always have to struggle to raise funds every time we have an event. We rely mostly on friends and family for donations and funds and its not always an easy ride.

Describe your Nonprofit Journey in three words:

Fulfilling, FUN , Worthwhile

Do you collaborate with other Causes? If yes, would you like to mention them?

We don’t usual collaborate but one of the Foundations that has been an inspiration to us is #HAS Foundation.

If you had one Organisation wish, what would it be?

To see Fafiza Foundation being an international movement.

In your opinion, which skills do Nonprofits in your Country lack?

One of the biggest things is inability to market themselves. We always want everything to come on a silver platter.

Looking back at your Cause Journey, what advice would you give a newbie Organisation?

Do it for the love and everything else will follow. If you are doing it for the wrong reasons just keep in mind that you are messing around with peoples lives.

If you could change one thing about the Nonprofit Landscape, what would it be?

I would scrap out all the NPOs that are fronting and using this platform to enrich themselves.

Which Cause achievement are you most proud of? Feel free to elaborate on why and include any links:

First of all I’m proud of the team that I work with. If it wasn’t for them, all this wouldn’t have been possible. I honestly couldn’t have done it on my own!! I’m equally proud of all the projects that we have executed thus far because each of them taught us a lesson and they collectively make Fafiza Foundation what it is today!
