Helderberg Omgee was established in 2010 by a concerned group of community members representing a broad spectrum of society. Being a community driven establishment we are also a registered Non Profit Organization. We are alarmed at the social and moral decay in the Helderberg basin and feel ourselves compelled to utilize our expertise and extensive professional networks to make a difference in peoples lives.

Helderberg Omgee has been helping adult men to recover from addiction to alcohol and drugs.

In your opinion, what has been the most challenging aspect of running your Organisation?
Lack of sufficient funds to sponsor more people to participate in our sustainable substance abuse recovery program.

If you had one Organisation wish, what would it be?
To be of greater value to all people in our sustainable substance abuse recovery program for every recovery lead to a recovered family and healthy community.
In your opinion, which skills do Nonprofits in your Country lack?
Sufficient general administration knowledge that includes all spheres of small business management.
Looking back at your Cause Journey, what advice would you give a newbie Organisation?
Perform proper strategic planning that will lead to a sound and measurable business plan.
If you could change one thing about the Nonprofit Landscape, what would it be?
Include core knowledge of NPO in the curriculum of formal social studies.
