Describe in detail what your Organisation does:

Kick beyond reality – a NPO that creates a safe space for girls, gets them actively involved in soccer, provide girls with the opportunity to be part of a sporting family provide footballing education and promote body ownership, increasing self-esteem and empower girls to make healthy decisions. This is done by incorporating our football knowledge with our lessons, like Respect – Money saving – Taking responsibility – Being able to say no- Teamwork – Being able to help others and career and goal setting. So each week the kids are brought together and they are taught these lessons using football.

How long has your Organisation been operational?

1 year and 1 month

In your opinion, what has been the most challenging aspect of running your Organisation?

The most challenging was that we applied for our Certificate last year September and we only got it this year August, we have been unable to receive funding because funders want the certificate and bank account and you can not open a bank account without the certificate. So it’s been hard working for a whole year without being able to receive anything financially.

Describe your Nonprofit Journey in three words:

Moments for life

Do you collaborate with other Causes? If yes, would you like to mention them?

No. We are still working alone.

If you had one Organisation wish, what would it be?

To receive transport for the girls, so that we can take them to training and for their safety.

In your opinion, which skills do Nonprofits in your Country lack?

The ability to write proposals and Monitoring and evaluation.

Looking back at your Cause Journey, what advice would you give a newbie Organisation?

Before you start operation, make sure you have registered your NPO, keep your work and make sure to have Monitoring And Evaluation in place.

If you could change one thing about the Nonprofit Landscape, what would it be?

The amount that is being distributed to new NPO’s is a little too small.

Which Cause achievement are you most proud of? Feel free to elaborate on why and include any links:

We had the First ever girls tournament in our hometown, girls here do not play football so it was a fun experience. Ee also had a 100 percent pass rate at the respective schools of our learners, which is a good thing because we pride ourselves in helping the kids with their homework.

Last question, if your friends had to describe your Organisation in three words, which would they use?

Every teens dream
