The Limpopo Schools Debating Association (LSDA) aims to grow access to competitive debating for learners throughout the province. The Association facilitates leagues in different parts of the province in collaboration with educators and community members. The annual provincial championship caps the efforts of educators and debaters that have worked really hard throughout the year.

In 2016, before the organisation was formally registered we hosted the National Schools Debating Championship in Phalaborwa together with the South African Schools Debating Board and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. At the time, it was the largest national schools tournament to have taken place in the country. (https://www.facebook.com/sansdc)
In 2019, the first debating under our management was founded in Mokopane. Although this was the 2nd schools league to be founded by our team, it is the first under our logo and we hope to replicate what we learned to other parts of the province with time.
