Community awareness campaigns
Social Gardian is an NPO registered with the department of Social Development with the NPO number 178-098NPO. The organisation aims to make the society aware of the dangers and negative effects that come as result of wrongful usage or abuse of the internet and the social media platforms and to provide supporting and healthy App to the digital world. The method/levels to be used to execute the day to day work are macro (community awareness campaigns) and mezzo (group work in person/Social Gardian App), until micro level (individual clients in person/Social Gardian App) immerge or emanate from the macro and mezzo level. The awareness campaigns are channelled to educate about being a responsible digital citizen and the following contents on cyber social ills.
• Cyber Bullying
• Sexting (revenge and child pornography)
• Human Trafficking
• Cyber Legislation (Breaking the law)
• Health (Anxiety and depression)
• Texting and driving
• Safety tips for parents
• Gamming, internet and Social Media addiction.
The abovementioned awareness programs will be done in communities, clinics, public and private schools, higher institutions of learning. Our committed well trained foot soldiers (volunteers) will be educating the South African nation with valuable information.
