Describe in detail what your Organisation does:
Third Sector Insights NPT bridges the divide between the corporate world and the ‘Third Sector world’, by engaging with for-profit and non-profit organisations. We understand the dynamics at play in the both environments, and create a platform from which both can understand and engage with each other for shared benefits. The Main Objective of the Trust is to promote improved governance and performance by equipping governing boards of non-profit organisations to implement best practices in governance with a commitment to providing optimal return on revenue. This is achieved by focusing service delivery in the following areas:
Non-profit organisations
Creating opportunities for directors and executives to invest in personal development with an applied corporate governance aspect and a view to empowering them to become more effective and efficient in discharging their duties.
Facilitating a non-profit leadership forum for opening up the dialogue around key issues effecting the governance, leadership and management of their organisations. Distributing a regular Third Sector Insights electronic brief with the latest local and international third sector information.
Ensure that the governance structure and executives have access to personal development opportunities and become fully informed of their roles and responsibilities as directors. Plus create a platform for operational and practical issues to be dealt with, through a forum network. Both of these primary services are designed to add value to the effectiveness of the organisation, and its ultimate impact.
For-profit organisations
Creating opportunities through their corporate responsibility ethos and due diligence when funding these organisations, and engaging with non-profit organisations, thus enabling directors and executives of these organisations to be more effective and efficient in discharging their duties on behalf of the stakeholders and beneficiaries.
Reduce the risk of their corporate social investment by strengthening the corporate governance aspect of the non-profit organisations they fund, and supporting more effective social impact.
Establishing an environment for corporates to embark on important efforts to create shared value by re-conceiving the intersection between society and corporate performance.
Third Sector Insights further enhances the corporate governance experience of NPOs through our-governance © an e-learning programme for executives and governing body members of Non Profit Organisations In addition TSI conducts board induction workshops, board performance evaluations and executive coaching – ceo’s, directors and chairpersons.
