The Community Law and Rural Development Centre (CLRDC), established in 1989 is an incorporated non-profit company, and registered Not for Profit organisation in terms of Company Laws of South Africa. The CLRDC provides accredited Paralegal Training, Capacity Building for leadership and governance structures, establishes and support Paralegal Offices who assist communities with legal advice and information and conduct civic education, research and development of materials for advocacy purposes, rural development support and networking with other organisations of common interest.

The CLRDC is proud of serving rural communities for a period of 30 Years and receiving entitlements worth millions of rands. The Paralegal Offices are managed by qualified and competent Paralegals who have undergone training offered in-house by the CLRDC. Management Committees who have participated in capacity-building programme have been selected in other higher positions within communities as Municipal Councillors, Ward Committees, School Governing bodies etc.
