Innovation Edge is an innovation catalyst and social impact investor.

We take a hands-on approach to supporting unconventional ideas that aim to transform early life experiences for children, aged 0 to 6, living in poverty.

Our experience has shown that truly transformative solutions to large-scale problems are created when very different people are brought together to make unusual connections to each other and to ideas.

We act as a catalytic connector and provide financial, strategic and active support to individuals, nonprofit and for profit organisations from any field of expertise, to affect meaningful change for young children.

Over the past 4 years we have built a pipeline of over 36 investments geared at transforming the life experiences of South African children aged 0 – 6. Some of our investments include:
ELOM – An assessment tool that helps to measure the effectiveness of preschool programs
Earlybird – Earlybird Educare@Work provides a high quality, socially inclusive educare offering at places of work and in low-income communities
Wordworks – The Wordworks app supports parents, caregivers and educators of young children aged 0-5 years, by providing them with fun and creative ideas about how to talk, play, sing, write, count and share books with them on a daily basis.

We also host an unconventional event called Think Future. In this gathering, change makers from diverse industries draw inspiration from global forces, collaborate and connect to catalyse strong early life foundations for children. To see more info about the event, follow this link
